Well there are many people that have a Nokia mobile phone and have a fast 3G internet connection from their mobile phone network provider. Thanks to a great application called Joikuspot you can turn your Nokia mobile phone into a wireless hotspot, using your phones internet connection. You have probably tried it on your laptop and you find it works perfect, just like a actually wireless router because the laptop can connect to the internet in infrastructure and adhoc modes. But when i tried connecting it to my ps3, it could not find the wireless hotspot Joikuspot created. The reason why is because the ps3 can only connect to the internet in infrastructure mode and not adhoc, this is the same situation with the psp console and Nintendo ds. So the answer is no, you cant actually connect your ps3 console to the internet using a Nokia phone and Joikuspot. But things can change, and maybe in the near future Joikuspot can some how support infrastructure mode.

An AC/DC adapter is used to convert the mains voltage from 240 standard to the volts required for the electrical device to operate on. Power supply AC adapters are widely used to power laptops, netbooks, LCD monitors and games consoles because of their functionality. If you hear either a crackling or buzzing sound from your AC adapter, immediately switch it off. If you leave the AC adapter crackling and unattended, it can short out, overheat and potentially cause an electrical fire. So before you use your AC adapter again, you will need to find the cause and fix it first.

1) Ensure that the AC adapter is disconnected from the wall socket. This is because you dont want to be handling the adapter while the mains is supplying power to it.

2) Look at the power brick. The adapters power brick will have a 3 pin plug that goes into it. It is very likely that it is loose and is not pushed in all the way, causing the crackling sounds to be heard. When this happens, the pins in the plug will not have good conductivity with the socket, causing it to short out and give off sparks.

3) Grab the cable and pull out the 3 pin plug. Give the socket a good blow with your mouth. This is to remove any dirt or dust found on the metal contacts. Then reinsert the 3 pin plug back into the socket and push it in all the way, ensuring that it is firmly connected in.

4) Connect your adapter to your electrical device it is compatible with. Then insert the adapters plug into a wall socket and switch it on. The crackling or buzzing sounds should no longer occur at this stage. If they still do, the adapter is faulty and you will need to obtain an original replacement to overcome this issue.
